Dale—Please forward the following message to student and faculty/staff announce (and don’t worry, I have faith that students will volunteer to help out and the whole thing will be completely cleaned up)

Dearest Friends at Bethel College,

I am in need of your help. I’m sure most of you noticed my little addition to the campus these last few days. I hope you all got a chance to sled down Mount Menno Simons. It was a creation that I am very proud of. Barry and John, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to watch you race—it sounded like quite a good time. I wish the sledding could go on all winter. However, the sun is shining and the snow is beginning to melt, so it’s time for the mountain to come down. That’s were you come in.

You see, I was planning on cleaning the whole thing up by myself today, but my dear wife Wilcia has fallen ill, so I won’t be able to make it. I’m asking for your help. I know how great Bethel students and staff are. So I’m asking that anyone who can come out and help clean up at 4 pm today. If you help me out, I promise to keep you entertained in the future—I’ve got lots of ideas for “campus improvement projects”

Also, if you have any shovels you could bring, that would help the effort greatly. Les, does maintenance have some extras that the students could use?

Thanks so much.

Herman Bubbert
