Hello Dale,

My it’s been a long time. How’s life? Are you as ready for second semester as I am? This “no convocation” thing is just killing me. The reason I’m writing is to thank you for accepting the position as Events Coordinator and Communications Liaison for Herman Bubbert Lodge. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We had a grand opening last night, with students sledding well into the night. Have you hit the slopes yet? You’ll have to try it out some time–You and Barry could race. Anyway, to the point. I have contacted maintenance regarding the clean up of Mount Menno Simons. I assured them that the lodge employees will help clean up the mountain on Wednesday afternoon. This should give the students, faculty, staff and community plenty of time to enjoy the sledding. However, I know that sometimes the folks over there aren’t always as supportive of my endeavors as you are. Could you please let them know that everything will be taken care of? If they still would like the slopes cleared sooner, please e-mail me back at this address and I will contact the lodge employees and they’ll clear the mountain as soon as they can. Thanks, and Happy Sledding.
